This is a collection of songs I wrote over several years. I had no intention of selling them or had any notions about fame or fortune. I was just compelled to write. It took the better part of 2 years to complete the recording sessions. I would save up money and when I had enough for a two hour session I’d make the trek out to Burke Harris’ home recording studio in Battleground Washington and put down some tracks.This happened usually about once a month. I couldn’t afford to make CD’s at the time but now I can make these songs available digitally. I hope you enjoy!
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DAWN 4:47
This is the first song I composed on the piano. It is a tone poem about an imaginative experience following the dawn as it races around the planet earth.

This song is a vocal duet that I think fits well for a wedding song. What is the foundation for two people joining their lives together if not to share their greatest love?

This song is a poem written by Maggie Gregg. We were in the same writing workshop and she submitted this poem. This poem struck me as a song written for that innermost part of us that is joyful, ageless and forever young. So that is why musically it’s written like a lullaby.(Perhaps this is why children favor this song!)

This song is a Tone Poem. Visualize a leaf falling from a tree top and it’s slow descent to earth.

HEARTACHES FOR LOVE 5:04
This song is a Neo-Classical instrumental piece with added vocals. It, and Journey to the Heart, are connected as one long piece which is essentially an Overture to the Neoclassical Opera “Lafitte” that I’ve been working on for quite sometime. I separated this work into 2 pieces to make it more digestible. Too complicated to tell the whole story of what the music portrays here, but listen for the elements of love, romance, tragedy and ascension above all things by the end of the Journey of the Heart.
SURRENDER/GAZE OF SUNSHINE 4:24
A song used as a way of connecting to the higher self and the discovery of what wonderful things happens as a result.
