Matthew Kirchner
was born on Leap Year 1972 in San Leandro, CA. He attended music college in Los Angeles before being unhoused in the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. Then took a two year residency with Opera San Jose, before moving to New York City to further my opera career. Within months, I made my European debut at the Royal Danish Opera with the Queen in attendance, and Hi opera career ultimately culminated in a 2004 Grammy Award Nomination. Opera gave him the opportunity to travel the world, experience incredible cultures, challenge himself, and meet some amazing & talented people. He wouldn’t have missed it for the world.
